Clubs to donate $10 from each referred Champions card sold to St. Johns County Schools
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Champions Club at Julington Creek Plantation, and sister course Windsor Parke Golf Club recently committed to support area schools within St. Johns County School district with a unique referral program related to the new Champions Card. Both courses unveiled the new Champions Card frequent player program that offers frequent players with preferred pricing on green fees year round and a number of other added value benefits. The clubs have committed to donating $10 of every card referred to the club from friends, family and students within the NW St Johns County for every new cards sold between now and then end of the 2009-2010 school year.
“We realize that area schools are feeling the pinch with budget restraints and were looking for an opportunity to step up with more support of area schools and our community,” stated Jim Lear, manager of both Windsor Parke and the Champions Club. “The process is simple…we are looking for area schools, students and boosters, PTA group, etc to simply help us spread the word on our Champions Card program. When a new golfer purchases a “Champions Card” for $49, and they just need to fill in the name of the school on their application and we’ll donate $10 to the school they designate,” added Lear.
In addition, Champions Club will be donating the golf course at the end of the promotion to the school that generates the most referrals. “That is just as exciting…the St Johns county school that generates the most referrals by the end of the 2009 – 2010 school year, will not only will get a nice donation, but will have the opportunity to utilize Champions Club golf course for an afternoon this summer to host a benefit golf tournament! Creating yet another fundraising opportunity,” added Lear.
The Champions Card is on sale now for just $49 and offers ‘cardholders’ at both Windsor Parke or Champions Club preferred green fees throughout the year that range from just $25 to $40 (depending on the time of day and day of the week).
