About the World Golf Village Golf Courses
Located in St. Augustine, Fla., the World Golf Village is home to the World Golf Hall of Fame, as well as two championship golf courses, the Slammer & Squire and the King & Bear.
The Slammer & Squire golf course is located in the heart of the World Golf Village. This 18-hole championship resort course was designed by Bobby Weed with Hall of Fame design consultants Sam “The Slammer” Snead and Gene “The Squire” Sarazen. It features two distinct nines with generous fairways, contoured greens, and water hazards, along with impressive views of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The course was the host site of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, a Champions Tour event and currently hosts an array of other golf events.
The King & Bear golf course is a true collaboration of two of golf’s greatest legends, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The two Hall of Famers have collaborated on a truly remarkable golf course of unparalleled beauty, challenge and design. Set among pristine lakes, beautiful Loblolly pines, and stately oak trees, each hole of this championship layout contains characteristics of both players. It is a driver’s” course, stretching over 7,200 yards; which should come as no surprise as both Palmer and Nicklaus wielded awesome power games in their primes. Since its inception in 2000, the King & Bear has hosted the Legends of Golf, a Champions Tour event; a Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf match between Palmer and Nicklaus; and Qualifying Schools for the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.
Both courses are owned and managed by Honours Golf.
