Multi-faceted national advertising, marketing, social media program to engage players, drive retail sales
(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Boccieri Golf announces the launch of its “Control Freak” campaign, a multi-faceted marketing program combining print and online advertising, social media, radio spots, targeted consumer e-mail blasts and various promotions to drive already strong retail sales of its popular “Control Series” products, including the Heavy Putter and new Heavy Wedge.
Showcasing the features, advantages and benefits of the company’s award-winning equipment, the campaign’s eye-catching advertisements include testimonials from dedicated golfers that significantly improved their scores after putting Boccieri Golf products into play. Dubbed the “Control Freaks,” these players explain the impact of these innovative clubs in a series of full-page ads running in Golf Digest and Golf World throughout 2010.
This comprehensive program, developed by Luan Pham, Director, Integrated Marketing and Strategic Development for Conde Nast Publications, is a new customized approach to building the Boccieri brand.
“We get calls and e-mails every day from players of all ability levels expressing how they’ve lowered scores and increased confidence by making the switch to our putters and wedges,” says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “This campaign conveys the powerful connection golfers develop with our products after witnessing dramatic improvement in their own games. The passion is contagious and has led to a true, global army of short game ‘Control Freaks.'”
Boccieri Golf is offering a chance for players to become part of the campaign by submitting photos and videos at the company’s website. Those selected will be featured as a “Control Freak” on the homepage and receive special offers on future purchases.
Additionally, supporters are encouraged to become “fans” of the company on Facebook, where they can view videos of current “Control Freaks,” and Stephen Boccieri explaining the benefits of his company’s groundbreaking equipment. Smart phone users can also download an application that allows them to view these videos directly on their devices through the “Microsoft tag” found in the advertisements.
Introduced earlier this year, the Heavy Wedge is a traditionally designed blade with a head mass only slightly heavier than a conventional wedge. The added weight (65 grams) is positioned in the butt of the shaft, raising the club’s balance point nearly 40 percent, promoting distance control, an improved swing path, tighter shot dispersion, acceleration through impact, smoother tempo and unparalleled feel. It is available in a variety of lofts including 52 (eight degree bounce), 56 (11 degree bounce) and 60 (four and seven degrees of bounce).
Also new for 2010 is the Heavy Putter LITE-WEIGHT Series and various models in the MID-WEIGHT and HEAVY-WEIGHT lines. They are available in a black PVD, with select styles showcasing a silver satin finish. All feature the company’s innovative system of added weight within the head and grip. This causes the body to engage its larger muscles for a consistent swing path, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, as well as tightening end-over-end golf ball roll. The new styles and weighting options provide a putter for every preference.

• LITE-WEIGHT Series – Total weight: 600 grams; head/back weight: 375/65 grams
• MID-WEIGHT Series – Total weight: 750 grams; head/back weight: 400/200 grams
• HEAVY-WEIGHT Series – Total weight: 900 grams; head/back weight: 465/250 grams
