The online golf marketplace, which acts as a conduit between golfers and golf courses by providing access to rounds of golf, added four new markets, increased revenues by nearly 50 percent and expanded its membership base by 173 percent in the first quarter alone compared to all of 2009.
Hilton Head, South Carolina and Naples, Florida were among the new regions represented on the Web site in the first quarter as Tee Time Savings added dozens of golf courses to its growing inventory.
Beginning in May 2010, the Web site will partner with more than 80 courses in the Myrtle Beach area allowing its customers to buy rounds of golf in one of America’s premier golf destinations. Canada will also have a presence on the site, including a number of courses throughout the Toronto area.
These additions will be a part of a fresh new design to the Tee Time Savings Web site that will be unveiled in mid-May.
The number of participating courses currently represented on TeeTimeSavings.com stands at 550, with a goal of expanding to more than 1,500 courses over the next 18 months.
Tee Time Savings members are enjoying the benefits of buying rounds of golf online via golf certificate. On average, members purchased six rounds of golf during the first quarter of 2010, while the rate of rounds sold rose by almost $8.
Overall Web site traffic on TeeTimeSavings.com grew by more than 60 percent when compared to the first quarter of 2009.
Tee Time Savings continues to separate itself from other services by acting as a true partner to participating golf courses. Unlike competing third party distributors, the Web site doesn’t barter tee times or require tee sheet integration.
Golf course owners and operators around the country simply post course rates, dates and access on http://www.teetimesavings.com/, and customers are able to buy rounds of golf. Once a golf certificate is sold, the golfer directly contacts the course to arrange a tee time.
The management at TeeTimeSavings.com believes it’s essential that courses maintain rate integrity and retain control of their tee sheets, dates and access without forfeiting the ability to collect customer information.
