PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 27, 2010) – Westward, Ho!
For the first time in its four-year history, the GolfTalk Live radio show will broadcast from the West Coast. The show will come from the spectacular Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay, just south of San Francisco along the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean.
The show will be recorded at 6 p.m. (Pacific Time) Friday, April 30, then broadcast at its regular time, 7 to 8 a.m. Saturday. The site will be around the fire pit, just behind the Ritz Carlton, overlooking the two golf courses and the Pacific Ocean.
“The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay is one of the most spectacular golf/hotel sites in America,” reports GolfTalk Live host Tony Leodora. “I have heard so much about it for years. The golf courses are breathtaking and then you add the consistent elegance of the Ritz Carlton. We intend to put together a show that allows our listeners to experience it vicariously through our eyes.”
Joining the show will be Bill Troyanoski, the director of golf for the two Half Moon Bay courses. Troyanoski spent many years in Pennsylvania as director of golf at Mountain Laurel Resort in the Pocono Mountains.
Also part of the show will be John Strawn, chief designer for Arthur Hills Golf Course Construction. Strawn was an integral part of the team that built the Arthur Hills course at Half Moon Bay.
The furthest west the GolfTalk Live show has ever ventured was Jackson Hole, Wyoming – where a golf and ski show was done in January of 2009.
