“The hottest shafts in Golf’ dominates wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – In a tournament that features one of the strongest and deepest fields of the year, The Players Championship winner recorded his first victory on the PGA Tour with the help of an Aldila shaft made for Callaway in his 5 Wood. He shot a bogey-free 5-under 67 final round to win by one stroke and become the second first-time winner in the tournament’s history.
Led by their leading shafts, the VooDoo® and the RIP, Aldila once again dominated the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at The Players Championship for the second consecutive year, according to the Darrell Survey. By winning both counts “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” maintained its status as the #1 Shaft on Tour.
“RIP is Aldila’s most recent shaft technology that provides a lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The VooDoo’s patent-pending S-Core Technology™ is designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing.”
Aldila’s NV® shaft was also in the Driver of the most accurate driver at The Players Championship. The South Korean native finished the tournament with a driving accuracy percentage of 82.14 percent well ahead of the field’s average of 62.24 percent.
Aldila is the leading name in graphite golf shafts: It won golf’s Grand Slam in 2009, being the most used wood and hybrid shafts at every Major on the PGA Tour. For two years it has been the most played wood and hybrid shaft at every FedEx Cup Playoff event.
