Aurora, CO (May 12, 2010) – Imperial Headwear announced today that it has renewed its promotional partnership with the Colorado Section of the PGA of America. The partnership includes three key areas: Golf Professional Recognition, Community Giving & Education as well as traditional sponsorship designations.

The recognition effort includes renewal of the Imperial Cup and the Section’s Merchandising Awards program. The Imperial Cup awards points to all Colorado PGA members and apprentices employed at participating facilities. Points are earned by participating in various activities, including competing in the Colorado Section Pro-Am, volunteering at a Play Golf Colorado section event, participating in the 100 Hole Challenge as well as purchasing various quantities of Imperial tournament, licensed or New Era products. The top three point earners will be recognized at the annual awards banquet in November. Imperial will also continue it’s sponsorship of the Section Merchandiser of the Year Award in the Resort, Public and Private Golf Facilities categories.
A new component to the partnership is a focus on charitable giving within the community with March of Dimes, Patriots Day and Susan G. Komen being benefactors. Imperial will create themed headwear pre-packs offered in custom display boxes promoting each charity. Imperial will then donate sales proceeds to the respective charity on behalf of the Colorado Section of the PGA of America. Imperial will also donate monies to Section participants in the 100 Hole Challenge; proceeds will be forwarded to March of Dimes.
Sharing the Section’s commitment to ongoing professional education, Imperial will host and sponsor numerous Colorado Section educational sessions throughout the year.
