May 13, 2010 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL)- Jamie Sadlowski continued his dominance among the sport of long drive by winning the 2010 Texas Shootout. The two-time defending RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion hauled in the title using Zero Friction Performance Tees, the Official Tee of the Long Drivers of America.
At 21 years old, Sadlowski has already carved his path to becoming one of the most decorated competitors in long drive history. He added to his accomplishments at the Texas Shootout by breaking his own grid record of 415 yards with a monstrous drive of 445 yards. Sadlowski managed to defeat Tom Roskos in the event’s final round at Trophy Club CC. Roskos didn’t go down without a fight however, adding a 415 yard drive to his credit.
For five consecutive years, Zero Friction Tees have been used at all LDA sanctioned events. By choice, all competitors tee up with 4″ ZFTs to assist them in having longer and straighter drives. Due to the immense popularity of long drive and the global recognition of the sport, Excel Golf released retail packages of 4″ ZFT’s in 2009.
“I wouldn’t use any other tee on the market,” says Jamie Sadlowski. “The Zero Friction design helps reduce both backspin and sidespin, giving me added confidence on the tee. I have back-to-back RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship titles and a recent LDA Tour victory to prove it works.”
The Zero Friction Performance Golf Tee is the original biocomposite tee with a unique three-prong top that reduces the contact area at impact providing unparalleled distance and accuracy. In addition to being extremely durable, Zero Friction Tees help professionals and amateurs alike achieve peak performance off the tee.
