SuperStroke Slim Grip Earns Top 10 Finish At PGA Tour’s Valero Texas Open

SuperStroke Grips experienced another Top 10 on the PGA Tour Sunday, this time in the bag of a first time user who began testing a SuperStroke Slim earlier this week in San Antonio. The mid-sized jumbo putter grip led the South African player to rank17th in Putts Per GIR en route to a T6th place finish at the Valero Texas Open.

The Top 10 finish was the first ever for the player, and only the second cut he has made during his PGA Tour rookie campaign. The former Nationwide Tour alum earned $211,975 with his finish, his largest pay check ever received for a golf tournament. The player earned a trip to the PGA Tour in 2010 after finishing No. 14 on the 2009 Nationwide Tour money list.

Tiger Shark and SuperStroke combined to have 11 jumbo putter grips in play at the Valero Texas Open and the Nationwide Tour’s BMW Charity Classic (5 PGA Tour, 6 Nationwide Tour), easily making them the #1 jumbo putter grips on tour this week.

Everyone from a former major winner to a rookie on the Nationwide Tour put a jumbo putter grip in play this week. Sixty-two players and counting have now put a SuperStroke or Tiger Shark grip into play on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour and/or European Tour.

“We are gaining new players every week on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour,” said Tiger Shark President Dean Dingman. “Almost every week we are seeing a new player take his game to a new level with one of our jumbo grips. Other players then notice how the player responded to the technology and they start testing our product in search of the same kind of results. We have a nice domino effect happening.”

Jumbo putter grip technology reduces wrist breaks and enhances a pendulum stroke. They are also proven to reduce grip pressure and keep the putter head square. Extensive testing has shown that the SuperStroke requires up to 32% less grip tension and represents a significant improvement over conventional putter grips. Other benefits include natural balance and set up, less putter head rotation, accurate smooth putting stroke, improved ball roll and greater distance control.
