The Witch, Man O’ War, The Wizard provide exceptional golf, value
(MYRTLE BEACH, SC) – Mystical Golf – owner and operator of three acclaimed courses with distinct personalities in golf-famous Myrtle Beach – has appointed Buffalo Communications (Buffalo) as its PR agency.
The golf-lifestyle firm will create and implement an integrated publicity and media-relations program to aggressively promote The Witch, Man O’ War and The Wizard standout golf courses.
Man O’ War and The Wizard are adjacent for extraordinary 18- or 36-hole experiences and The Witch is 10 minutes away. All three captivate local golfers and those on vacations and “buddy trips.”
“It’s time to powerfully showcase the enjoyment The Witch, Man O’ War and The Wizard consistently delivers,” says Claude Pardue, President of Mystical Golf. “Golfers play our courses on a stay-and-play package at mid-range prices for the best, year-round deal in Myrtle Beach.”
“Repeat play demonstrates the Mystical Golf courses lead the pack in Myrtle Beach,” says Rich Katz, Managing Director of Buffalo. “Resort-style conditions; personable service; inspiring and varied layouts; and magical aesthetics make for unforgettable experiences.”
Reaching 4-1/2 stars from Golf Digest and named “The Best Value in America” by GOLF Magazine, the courses are designed by celebrated architect Dan Maples.
The Witch
Situated on 500 acres of tranquil cypress groves and wetlands teeming with flora and fauna, The Witch is a Myrtle Beach favorite. Well-placed tee shots to generous fairways, and razor-sharp iron approaches reward tactical play on the par-71, 6,702-yard layout. With 4,000 feet of bridges wending through swamps (front nine) and rolling hills (back nine), golfers may spy cranes, bald eagles, alligators and black bears. Holes are separated by forestry and void of bordering homes, promoting a pure-golf vibe.
Man O’ War
The only course in Myrtle Beach on a 100-acre lake, the par-72, 6,967-yard Man O’ War is revered for its back-to-back island greens (Nos. 14, 15), an entire hole encircled by a lake (No. 9), and water features touching every hole. Its commanding 141 slope rating is offset by straight-forward shots and massive, bent-grass greens. Tantalizing par 5s beg golfers to go for the green in two shots. No holes play or look the same, exciting all types of golfers.
The Wizard
Reminiscent of classic, wind-swept links courses in Scotland and Ireland, The Wizard presents deep bunkers, mound-framed fairways and dramatic elevation changes. Dry gullies traverse several holes for challenge and authenticity. Golfers’ journeys crescendo with a one-two punch: The par-3 No. 17 tee shot negotiates a 60-foot drop onto a raised island green, and the par-4 No. 18 boasts an island tee, island fairway and peninsula green. Trademark stone bridges and an old-world, castle-style clubhouse add character.
