ORLANDO – Graduating students from the Golf Academy of America (GAA) are often considered as premium candidates for employment within the golf industry, and the honor graduates of the Spring 2010 class at the GAA Orlando Campus are prime examples. GAA announces that recent graduate Richard Mahler has received a lucrative position with Fuzion Golf of Jupiter, Fla.
Richard Mahler was the top graduate of the Spring 2010 graduating class, and he completed the program with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Other Honor Graduates included Chris Edmands (Salutatorian) of Orlando, Fla.; Bill Lammi of Rumely, Mich.; Yos-vani Barreiro of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Billy Edgar of Jonesboro, Ark.; Josh Kenley of Street, Md.; Robert Knop of Wesley, Fla.; Noah Kong of Northbrook, Ill.; Don Lankford of Great Mills, Md.; Scott Stephens of Port Orange, Fla.; and Ryan Young of Venice, Fla.
The morning of graduation, Danny Schmidt of Fuzion Golf – who is also a GAA alumni – contacted the GAA Orlando Campus looking for the right person to join the Fuzion Golf staff. The candidate needed to be knowledgeable about club fitting, the golf swing, and have the ability to professionally interact with high-end clientele. As expected, Mahler impressed Fuzion Gof’s executive team and was hired immediately. His responsibilities now include traveling to high-end private and resort golf facilities where he conducts complete swing and fitting analysis for customers.
“Richard is a perfect example of the steps to success,” says Brad Turner, director for the GAA Orlando campus. Work hard, set your personal standards very high, and take your education seriously because the rewards can be great. Then, be patient and good things will come.”
