NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (June 1, 2010) – KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine™, is proud to announce that 13 golf professionals from six countries have completed the KZG Master Clubfitting Certification Program in 2010. All of the graduates are veteran golf professionals who wanted to continue their fitting education and earn the title of ‘Master ClubFitter’.
KZG congratulates the following 13 graduates:
Austria: Andreas Lauss of Golfschule Sterngartl
Germany: Richard Phillips of Golf Gleidengen
South Korea: Jaeyeon Lee of Rozi Golf
Spain: Carlos Garcia of Golf Planet-Oviedo and Angel Martinez of Golf Planet-Mallorca
Sweden: Johanna Pyk-Jargard of Johanna’s Golfshop – Molle
United States: Brian Eggleston of Pro Golf Training Center, CA; Bob Faubel of The Club Lab, CT; Steve Holcomb of Grey Goose Golf Club, IN; Jason Nunez of Horsepower Golf, CA; Dustin Simons of Nicklaus Academy at DragonRidge, NV; DeMargo Smith of Golf Etc. Moorpark, CA; and Flip Whitner of S&P Golf, AR.
“It is always a joy to work with professionals who want to constantly raise the bar for their profession,” reports Jennifer King, President of KZG. “Industry experts claim there are no more than 500 qualified professional fitters in the entire world, which is an inadequate number to properly serve the golfing public. We hope more will choose this field and take the steps necessary to be the best.”
Since 2005, over 210 professional fitters have graduated from KZG’s Master Clubfitting Certification Program in North Hollywood, CA. Over three days, attendees experience a total immersion into every aspect of fitting. They are trained in head and shaft design, the latest fitting techniques, launch monitor analysis, sales techniques and general knowledge on how to grow their own clubfitting businesses.
KZG’s Master Clubfitting Certification Program is open to veteran fitters who aspire to practice their craft at the highest level. The class is attended by many top fitters in the industry and the interaction between colleagues often leads to strong business associations well after the program ends. Mark Mikkelson, the former head fitter for PING, is the primary fitting instructor. Matt Mora, a former builder for the Cleveland Tour Van, is the custom building instructor. Additionally, Jennifer King and Chris Lesser cover classes on branding, marketing, selling and advertising.
Each session provides graduates not only with a wealth of skills and information but a new set of colleagues. PGA Professionals can earn 12 MSR credits. Participation in the three-day Certification Program is open to those who already have experience as a clubfitter, teaching professional or are currently working in a legitimate retail golf facility. Classes are limited in size to assure individualized attention. The next open sessions are August 11-13, 2010 and November 3-5, 2010.
