May 20, 2010 (Oakbrook Terrace, IL)- Excel Golf Products, Inc. is proud to announce that it has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with the PGA TOUR for its Zero Friction Performance Tees, which has revolutionized the golf tee market and has become the No.1 performance tee in golf.
The announcement comes only four months after The First Tee made Excel Golf an Official Supplier to all of the organization’s chapters. Since January, Excel has supplied The First Tee members with Zero Friction Tees and Zero Friction ‘Distance 312’ Golf Balls.
Since its inception in 2005, Zero Friction has become the preferred golf tee of professional and amateur golfers alike. The tee’s patented 3-prong top has been proven in independent lab testing to drastically reduce the amount of contact between the ball and tee at impact leading to longer, straighter drives. Zero Friction lasts five times longer than a standard wood tee and is widely accepted by superintendents around the country for being environmentally and mower friendly. As the original bio-composite tee, Zero Friction continues to transition the golf tee from an accessory to a piece of equipment.
