Hall of Famer relies on 4-piece B330 in 3rd Champions Tour career title
Covington, Ga. – In Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend, Nick Price relied on his TOUR B330 golf balls for his second victory of the season, his third career Champions Tour title and the fifth Bridgestone victory on the Champions Tour this year. Price fired a final round 67, eclipsing his nearest competitor by 4-shots. This was Price’s third time in a row holding the lead or co-lead of the Principal Charity Classic heading into the final round.
“With 7 Top 10 finishes in 10 events this year, Nick’s consistency is unparalleled,” said Dan Murphy, Vice President of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “Nick is playing some great golf and looks poised to challenge another Bridgestone ambassador, Fred Couples, for the 2010 Charles Schwab Cup.”
Price relied on the incredible feel and consistency of the Bridgestone Golf TOUR B330 golf ball to help him record a tournament total of 14-under par. For the week, Price was near the top of the Greens-In-Regulation category, hitting laser-like approach shots to well-guarded pins, leading to 15 birdies for the week. With the win, Price earned $258,750 and vaulted into 3rd place in the 2010 Charles Schwab Cup race, meaning that Bridgestone currently has the #1 and #3 ranked players on the Champions Tour.
The B330 family of balls feature a street price of $42.99 per dozen (suggested retail price of $56 per dozen) and are available now at golf specialty stores and green grass retailers nationwide.
In addition to the TOUR B330 golf balls, Nick Price also utilized Bridgestone Golf’s TOUR glove. For more information on what the entire Bridgestone Golf TOUR Team has in their bags, visit www.bridgestonegolf.com.
