“The hottest shafts in golf’ wins wood, hybrid shaft counts at Memorial Tournament
POWAY, Calif. – “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” set the Tours ablaze this past weekend as the winners on the Nationwide, Champions and European Tours all won using Aldila shafts.
Playing Aldila’s NV® in his Driver and 4 Wood and making the switch to their NV VooDoo® shaft in his hybrid club, the winner of the Melwood Prince George’s Open posted his first career Nationwide Tour victory winning by one stroke. He birdied the final hole to finish with a 17-under-par 267 (69-69-64-65).
“Aldila’s NV VooDoo features the patent pending S-core (stabilized core) Technology™ and the same outstanding features of the original VooDoo but with the flex profile and incredible feel of the NV,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The VooDoo’s secret is its innovative rib structure that runs the length of the shaft increasing hoop strength/stiffness. It’s designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing.”
On the Champions Tour, Aldila Staff Player Nick Price won the Principal Charity Classic using Aldila’s newest shaft, the RIP in his Driver. It was his first individual win on the Champions Tour this season and his third Champions Title overall.
“RIP is Aldila’s most recent shaft technology that provides a lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Bahl. “The RIP is in high demand across the PGA and Nationwide Tours and will be released soon through some of the major OEM’s product lines.”
On the European Tour, the winner of the Celtic Manor Wales Open posted his fifth victory on the Tour and the first of the season playing Aldila shafts.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” maintained its status as the #1 Shaft on Tour by dominating the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Memorial Tournament on the PGA Tour, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had 22 more wood shafts in play and nearly twice as many hybrid shafts in play than the next leading competitor.
Aldila is the leading name in graphite golf shafts: It won golf’s Grand Slam in 2009, being the most used wood and hybrid shafts at every Major on the PGA Tour. For two years it has been the most played wood and hybrid shaft at every FedEx Cup Playoff event. Are you playing Aldila or just graphite?
