ORLANDO, Fla., – June 9, 2010…Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators, recently announced Willow Crest Golf Club, located at the Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort in Oak Brook Hills, Ill., as the Marriott Golf “Property of the Year.” This award is based on performance excellence for current and previous years in various categories such as golf sales, round improvements, customer satisfaction, program development, personnel development & leadership, and more.
In an effort to make the golf experience more enjoyable and efficient, Willow Crest recently completed a number of course modifications including the re-routing of cart paths and modifying the sequence of holes. In addition, as part of the course’s efforts to be become a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, several areas throughout the course were naturalized. Willow Crest is also participating in Marriott Golf’s Walk For Health program which provides golfers with Bag Boy’s innovative and popular three-wheel push carts, offering a fun and healthy way to navigate the course, as well as support environmental consciousness.
Further, Willow Crest received outstanding marks in golfer satisfaction surveys covering a breadth of categories including the overall golf experience; golf shop service; overall value of the golf experience and visitors’ willingness to recommend Willow Crest to family and friends.
