IRVINE, CA – JUNE 11, 2010 – FOURTEEN GOLF, recognized as a worldwide leader in wedge design and a known favorite amongst top touring golf professionals, proudly announced that the company celebrated its fifth tour victory as well as another impressive Top-10 PGA Tour finish.
Last weekend on the Duramed Futures Tour, a young and talented golf professional played to her potential and claimed her first professional title at the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge. For the two years the California native has played on the LPGA’s developmental tour, she has supported FOURTEEN GOLF and their equipment.
Her first victory was secured with the help of her favorite MT-28 V5 wedges. She played a 52, 56, and 58-degree wedges with a N.S. Pro 950 shafts. These new wedges represent a long legacy of winning wedges. They are known as the “go to club.” Their signature “reverse taper design” combined with the new trapezoidal shaped groove provides all golfers the ultimate in control, spin, distance, and the perfect trajectory for every shot.
In addition to using Fourteen Golf wedges, she also had the new easy to hit FOURTEEN GOLF’s TC-550 Forged Irons. These traditionally styled cavity back irons provide the workability of a forged iron with the playability of a game improvement iron. They possess the lowest CG allowed by the USGA, which provides the ultimate trajectory with an ideal spin rate.
“Every win is special to FOURTEEN GOLF but this one stands out. We’ve been part of her career since she qualified for the LPGA. It is so gratifying watching a player progress like she has. Her five-under performance proves this is going to be the first of many victories to come,” FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda enthusiastically stated.
Including this victory at the Ladies Titan Tour Challenge, FOURTEEN GOLF has celebrated five professional tour victories during the 2010 golf season; The South Georgia Classic on the Nationwide Tour, The Maybank Malaysian from the European Tour, the Carolina Series on the Hooters Tour, and the Cyber Agent Cup on the LPGA.
In addition to Futures Tour win, FOURTEEN GOLF added another TOP-10 PGA Tour finish at the Memorial Tournament Presented by Morgan Stanley. This PGA Professional and FOURTEEN GOLF enthusiast impeccably played the challenging and prestigious Muirfield Village Golf Course with his #4 FOURTEEN GOLF prototype hybrid iron. He likes its trajectory and how easy it is to get the ball airborne yet stops on the greens.
“This exceptional PGA Professional is perfectly positioned to win at Pebble Beach this year. This year’s performance includes five Top-10 finishes which include a tie for second, a third and tie for third as well as two ties for eighth. We’re proud to play a small part in his outstanding play and look forward to watching him at the US Open,” added Kamoda.
FOURTEEN GOLF has received recognition for Twenty-nine Top-10 finishes this year including six on the PGA Tour starting with the Verizon Heritage, Shell Houston Open, PLAYERS Championship, (2) at the HP Byron Nelson and one at the Memorial Tournament Presented by Morgan Stanley. On the LPGA (4) Top-10 finishes were captured at the HSBC Women’s Champions, (2) clinched at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, (2) from the Honda PTT LPGA Thailand, (3) at the Kia Classic Presented by J Golf, (1) secured at the Mojo Jamaican Invitational, (1) at the Tres Maria Championship, (1) from the Bell South LPGA Classic and (6) impressive Top-10s at the Sybase Match Play Championship.
