HILTON HEAD ISLAND – Serving the South Texas Triangle, the Central Texas and Houston publications are among the fastest growing operations in the Golfer’s Guide marketing network. A planned addition of nearly 60 distribution points in Mexico is further evidence of the group’s commitment to reach a wide-ranging audience of golfers.
“We’re excited about our venture into Mexico and the fact that we aren’t asking anything more from our clients during these difficult economic times to make it happen,” said Central Texas Regional Representative Mike Ratchman.
This international expansion has earned the joint venture between Central Texas and Houston the “Distinguished Market Award” from the company’s national corporate headquarters.
The Triangle, which consists of Austin, San Antonio, the Texas Hill Country, Houston, Rio Grande Valley and the Texas Coast, has been served by the Central Texas-Houston combination since 2009. The marriage of the two markets, which retain their individual identities in print and online, is vital to branding the entire Triangle as one unified golf destination.
Using multiple media platforms that include traditional print publications, digital magazines, regional websites and a Golfer’s Guide radio show that airs each Saturday on ESPN Radio, the Texas Golfer’s Guide Network reaches more than a million avid golfers. Each magazine also benefits from distribution at national golf shows and a variety of golf outings.
“By combining Central Texas and Houston into one publication, we are better serving our current advertisers and crafting a larger appeal for future advertisers,” said Ratchman.
Once in place, the network’s move into Mexico will allow courses throughout the Triangle to promote their properties, “Stay and Play” packages and other programs to golfers who frequent some of the country’s finest clubs and resort courses.
