Toronto-based brand helps students, staff, players look fresh on and off the course
(TORONTO, ON) – Quagmire – the Toronto-based apparel brand founded by two friends with a passion for golf, surf, skate and street culture – has been named the official apparel supplier to the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy (Hank Haney IJGA) and International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT).
Beginning this summer, all Hank Haney IJGA staff and students, as well as IJGT staff and tour members will showcase a wide range of pieces from Quagmire’s trend-inspired collection. This includes tops, outerwear and lids embroidered with Hank Haney IJGA and IJGT logos.
“I’m stoked that all of these awesome young players from across the country and around the world will be rocking our looks,” says Quagmire co-founder Geoff Tait. “This partnership is a great fit, especially since the kids can also wear our stuff to hang out with their friends.”
The brand’s irreverent attitude – embodied by its “Not Fit for the Fairway” motto – is showcased across the 2010 collection which includes polos, sweaters, shorts, pants and outerwear featuring array of bright and pastel hues. Slightly “off-kilter” elements include funky stitch detailing, unique logo and pocket placement and style names like “Money Shot,” “Duffer,” “Pondskipper” and “Choke.”
“All of the our students and staff are very pleased with this partnership,” says Ryley Hendry, Chief Operating Officer of Junior Golf Corporation, which operates Hank Haney IJGA and IJGT. “We first introduced Quagmire at our 2010 IJGT Tournament of Champions over Memorial Day Weekend. The response was great and everyone loved the product!”
Hollywood celebrities and Tour professionals love Quagmire. The collection retails from $65 for some tops to $79 for select outwear with more information and an online store at www.quagmiregolf.com.
