Shaft Skinz wish to congratulate Gary Wolstenholme on his recent Europro Tour win, the 8th tour victory recorded by a player who had put Shaft Skinz in play.
Wolstenholme, aged 49, won the Stoke-by-Nayland Championship 2010 in Essex, England by 4 strokes with a bogey free final round of 69 to claim what is surprisingly only his first professional tour victory.
This low professional victory count is better understood when you realise that Gary only turned professional last year with the aim of joining the Seniors Tour. He had a glittering amateur career having won 218 ‘caps’ for England and played in 6 Walker Cups over the years securing a famous victory over Tiger Woods in 1995.
Shaft Skinz introduced their newest winner to their products at the recent Galgorm Castle Northern Ireland PGA Europro Open when, along with 6 other tour players, he put sleeves on his driver, wedge and Yes! Putter. At that event he finished tied for sixth at 10 under for the 3 round event.
The continuing count of victories shows Shaft Skinz clearly has no negative impact on the shaft performance. Indeed, there may be something to be said for the positive mental gain resulting from giving your shafts a fresh new look.
Shaft Skinz continued their exposure in Ireland at the Irish Youths Tournament when they put sleeves on for 17 new players all of whom played off low single figure handicaps in a field that would be considered the best Irish golfing talent under 21 years of age.
