HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – July 7, 2010 – Srixon® Sports, a world leader in golf club and golf ball technology, congratulates Srixon® staffer Miguel Angel Jiménez for his playoff victory at the 2010 Alstom French Open. The 46-year old Spaniard earned the victory in a dramatic three-man sudden death play-off, making him the oldest-ever winner of continental Europe’s oldest golf title in Paris.
“Experience is always important, said Jiménez. These two guys are playing very well and putting very good. But, you know, the experience, also, is one of the keys. One of the most important things is keep breathing and tell yourself to relax, breathe.”
Jiménez, who plays a Srixon Z-STAR X golf ball, has won ten of his 17 European Tour victories since turning 40-years old. The victory was his second of 2010, following his win at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, in February.
