Skinner Now Earns Berth in 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits
Norcross, GA (July 7, 2010) — Divots Sportswear, the oldest private golf apparel company in the country, extends congratulations to tour ambassador Sonny Skinner on his 2nd place finish in the PGA Professional National Championship, played last week at the French Lick Resort in Indiana.
Skinner’s runner-up finish earns him a spot in the field at the 2010 PGA Championship, the final major golf championship of the year played in August at Whistling Straits Golf Club in Kohler, WI.
Coincidentally, Skinner also finished 2nd in the 2008 PGA Professional Championship, which earned him a spot in that year’s PGA Championship at Oakland Hills CC. Those successes played a part in Skinner being named 2008 PGA Professional Player of the Year.

Skinner, who turns 50 years old just three days after the PGA Championship, will shift his sites towards competition on the Champions TOUR in 2011. Skinner is a two-time winner on The Nationwide TOUR and a PGA teaching professional at River Pointe Golf Club in Albany, GA.
