Natalie Gulbis Leads Las Vegas Golfers at US Womens Open at Oakmont
The United States Womens Open is being played at, arguably, the toughest golf course in the world, Oakmont Country Club, in Pennsylvania. Jeremy Anderson, a former PGA Tour player and member of the 1998 UNLV NCAA championship team, told us recently that Oakmont was by far and away the most difficult course he’d experienced. And Las Vegas resident Natalie Gulbis was recently quoted in Golfweek as saying that if the USGA wants to embarass the golfers, they can, because of the penal nature of the layout. Gulbis is one of a few golfers with strong ties to Las Vegas golf courses in the field this week.–

The New Guide to Vegas PGA, LPGA, Champions, and Nationwide Pros
There are more than two dozen pro golfers on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour and LPGA Tour who live here in Las Vegas, played collegiately at UNLV, grew up here or lived here for a long period of time. U.S. Women’s Open Champion in 2008, Inbee Park, played high school golf in Las Vegas and is just one many stars listed on pro golf tours who have strong ties here. And young gun Rickie Fowler now plays and practices at Las Vegas golf courses and owns a home in the area. The following guide will inform you about some of those players and allows you to click to the official profiles and official player websites for many of our favorite Tour players. The guide is in alphabetical order. Sit back as we take you on a golf tour of Las Vegas’ pros.
