GreenFix Golf, the original pioneer of short-tong “push” ball mark repair tools announces that an extension to its original patent covering divot tool repair has been granted by the US Patent Office. The extension covers ball mark repair tools that are designed to use a “pushing” motion. Danny Edwards, President and founder of GreenFix states that this extension is a great day for GreenFix and acknowledges and protects the hard work that GreenFix has put in over the years to pioneer this approach”. Ken Kennedy, President of Q1 Golf stated, “This extension is great news for Danny and great news for golf”. Kennedy further stated that with the advent of the new Sentinel line of GreenFix tools and the strong protection that this new patent provides, that GreenFix sales should rocket forward as more golf courses make the switch.

The GreenFix Ball Mark Repair System is the result of the first scientific university research on ball mark repair and the related effects on turf recovery. The traditional long tong repair tools, research shows, do significant damage to the root structure of the plants causing dead brown spots to linger for weeks. Not only do these spots look unsightly, but also they attract pests and disease, which increase maintenance costs. “. Push repair methodology has been scientifically proven to be less damaging to greens surfaces and allow a much quicker turf recovery”
