PGA Welcome Reception presented by Elations Headlines Busy Schedule
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – PGA Professionals, golf buyers and industry leaders from throughout the United States and global golf destinations can anticipate a full schedule of special events, golf tournaments and outings, allied association meetings and professional networking opportunities at the 2010 PGA Fall Expo, August 16-18, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The PGA Fall Expo Welcome Reception presented by Elations returns to the first night of exhibition events, Tuesday, Aug. 17, at TAO nightclub located in The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The PGA Fall Expo’s most popular networking event offers a fun environment to build relationships among industry peers while enjoying complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres and music. Elations returns for the third year as sponsor of the event.

Golf Tournaments, Outings & Demo Day
In addition, PGA Golf Exhibitions offers more golf options than ever before with three golf tournaments and outings at the award-winning Revere Golf Club, just 20 minutes off the Las Vegas Strip. PGA Professionals, golf buyers and industry leaders can participate in the PGA Fall Expo golf event of their choice – the $7,000 PGA Professional Challenge Cup, the Amateur Shoot-Out or the Industry Golf Outing – on Monday, Aug. 16, the day prior to the opening of the 2010 PGA Fall Expo. Before or after golf, attendees can personally test the latest equipment, aids and accessories at the 4th Annual PGA Fall Expo Demo Day, also at Revere Golf Club, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16. More than 30 golf companies will provide attendees with real golf testing experience of the latest products.
Complimentary Education Conference
The most important issues, trends and developments shaping the business of golf are taking the spotlight at the PGA Fall Expo Education Conference. Timely seminar topics include social media strategies; creative pricing practices; top teaching techniques; green golf strategies; and better bottom-line management. Seminars and keynote presentations will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Education Conference seminars will continue to be led by the industry’s foremost experts from The PGA of America, Association of Golf Merchandisers and successful golf business leaders, plus provide PGA members with MSR credits for each hour attended.
Additionally, PGA Fall Expo attendees can participate in a variety of allied association member events during show week.
PGA Member Town Hall Meeting
The PGA of America also will hold a PGA Member Town Hall with PGA President Jim Remy and Chief Executive Officer Joe Steranka in the PGA Member Business Center on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 3:00 p.m. The PGA Member Business Center is located in the Titian Room, across from the show floor. PGA members in attendance will receive two MSR credits in the meeting category.
The Association of Golf Merchandisers
The Association of Golf Merchandisers will host a special educational event on Monday, Aug. 16, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., in the Veronese Rooms #2401-2403 of The Venetian. The educational event includes sessions by Tracy Moffatt – “Unlocking the Inventory Challenge;” a retail “State of the Business” roundtable with Vicki Bernstein, Tracy Moffatt and Ken Morton Jr.; and a presentation of the best visual displays from AGM Front Nine & Golf World’s 100 Best Golf Shops. The AGM educational event will be followed by a cocktail hour sponsored by PGA Golf Exhibitions. The educational event is open to all PGA members registered for the PGA Fall Expo who will receive 3 MSR credits in the education category for attending. Additionally, the AGM is hosting six seminars during the PGA Fall Expo Education Conference including a Fashion Vendor Roundtable hosted by Vicki Bernstein on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 1:15 p.m. at the PGA Fall Expo main stage. PGA members receive 1 MSR credit for each education seminar hour attended.
PGA Magazine Regional Meeting
PGA Magazine, the official monthly publication of The PGA of America, will hold three regional meetings for PGA Professionals in the fields of clubfitting, merchandising and mentoring/coaching, Aug.17-18, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. The regional meetings* are among a series of similar events held throughout the country to support a national PGA Professional conference program hosted by PGA Magazine. More than 50 influential PGA Professionals with expertise in the fields of clubfitting, merchandising and mentoring/coaching will participate in half-day roundtable discussions identifying trends, challenges, growth opportunities and similarities across geographical markets.

National Golf Course Owners Association/Nevada Golf Course Owners Association
The Nevada Golf Course Owners Association (NvGCOA) will be hosting a concierge booth at registration to welcome all attendees to Nevada and help with golf, dining and show arrangements. In addition the NvGCOA Annual Meeting will be held during the first day of the PGA Fall Expo, Tuesday, Aug. 17, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. The NvGCOA Annual Meeting will be followed by a National Golf Course Owners Association Reception from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. All NvGCOA and NGCOA events will be at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.
National Golf Sales Representatives Association
The National Golf Sales Representatives Association (NGSA), along with the NGSA’s management company Golf Clearing House, will be located at booth #1033 to provide a central networking and communications hub for NGSA members and golf sales representatives attending the PGA Fall Expo. Additionally, the NGSA will support the second annual PGA Fall Expo Career Fair through sales representative employment workshops and their direct connection to open sales representative positions at more than 200 golf companies currently listed in the NGSA’s The Sales Leader “Reps Wanted Section.”
AMF Golf Management Services
The AMF Golf Management Services (AMF) annual west coast meeting will be held at the 2010 PGA Fall Expo, Aug. 17-18, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Based on the successful AMF membership meeting held during the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., AMF will utilize the golf industry’s west coast business gathering to reach additional AMF members. AMF meetings will be held in meeting rooms connected to the PGA Fall Expo Show floor and also will feature AMF sponsors who are exhibiting at the PGA Fall Expo. Additionally, AMF will hold educational sessions and a reception for AMF members during the three-day event. AMF members must register to attend the PGA Fall Expo to gain access to the AMF programs at the Venetian.
