ORLANDO, Fla. – July 15, 2010…The acclaimed Faldo Golf Institute (FGI), one of the nation’s leading golf schools, created by legendary 6-Time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo today announced that 9-year old junior golfer Eric Berggren, a student at FGI since 2009, recently captured the U.S. Kids Golf Qualifier at Balmoral Woods Country Club in Crete, IL. The victory earned Berggren an opportunity to compete in the U.S. Kids Golf Junior World Championship at Pinehurst Resort in August.
Berggren has been working closely with Justin Blazer, a Certified Instructor at the Faldo Golf Institute’s Orlando, FL location, who works extensively with aspiring junior golfers of all skill levels. The professional staff of certified instructors at FGI have developed and coached many elite junior, amateur and professional golfers and Berggren’s accomplishments add to the impressive list of FGI students that have excelled on the links during tournament play over the past several years.

The U.S. Kids Golf Junior World Championship will take place August 3-8, at the renowned Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. More than 1,200 kids from around the world, ages 6 through 12, will converge on Moore County, NC to compete for the Championship.
