(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) – Rick Fehr, sports marketing professional and former PGA TOUR professional, has joined the Innovative Sports Ventures Advisory Board. In addition to continuing to serve the needs of his Fehr Sports Management clients, Rick will be contributing to the success of the many exciting projects and business ventures at Innovative Sports Ventures as well as bringing new opportunities to ISV. Co-Founders and Managing Partners, Tim Ummel and Chris Homrich, had been discussing multiple opportunities with Fehr and are pleased to have him join the Advisory Board.

Fehr currently manages the business affairs of multiple professional golfers on the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, and Nationwide Tour, including Champions Tour player Loren Roberts. Roberts is the 2007 and 2009 Charles Schwab Cup champion, awarded to the season-long points winner.

Hailing from Seattle, WA Fehr is a veteran PGA TOUR player, sports agent, and complete game golf coach. His wins at the 1979 Washington State Junior and PGA National Junior tournaments were just the start of a long, successful career in golf, and propelled him to Brigham Young University and a spot on the men’s golf team. Rick enjoyed a stellar career at BYU winning numerous tournaments and twice earning All-American honors. Rick’s collegiate career was capped off when he was the low amateur at both The Masters and U.S. Open in 1984. Upon earning his degree in Finance, he turned pro in 1984 and joined the PGA TOUR in 1985.
Rick spent over 15 years on the PGA Tour (1985 – 2001) where he was a two-time PGA Tour Champion with wins coming at the 1986 B.C. Open and 1994 Walt Disney World / Oldsmobile Classic. Besides his two career wins, Fehr finished runner-up nine times and had forty-one top 10 finishes in PGA Tour events. His best finish in a major championship came when he tied for ninth place at the 1985 U.S. Open. During his time on the PGA Tour, Rick served one term on the PGA TOUR Policy Board from 1992 – 1994.
