July 21, 2010 – ActiveGolf, a division of the Active Network (Active), has hired Peter Dennis as director of strategy and business development. Dennis will lead the development and execution of golf industry strategies and partnerships to continue the growth of Active’s best-in-class technology products. In addition to being closely tied to the software development of innovative golf products, Dennis will also be working with various levels of golf organizations and associations to develop marketing initiatives designed to grow exposure and participation in the sport.
Dennis previously founded Thru The Green Solutions, a software development and consultant firm, and served as president and chief operating officer of GolfNet, Inc, a North Carolina based golf handicap and tournament software company. With an extensive background in executive management and business development, Dennis’ background includes work with Golf Intelligence, Inc., United States Golf Association, Cypress Golf Solutions (now Golf Channel Solutions), Redstone Golf Management, and the World Health & Golf Association, among others.
