(Acton, ON) July 13, 2010 – The Canadian PGA is pleased to announce that TrackMan has joined the Canadian PGA National Education Program as a partner under a three-year agreement.
TrackMan, the company that develops, manufactures, and sells 3D ball flight measurement technology used in a variety of sports around the world, will provide Canadian PGA Members and National Office Staff with critical information to analyze the golf swing and resulting ball flight.
“The Canadian PGA is extremely excited to bring on TrackMan as a partner in our world leading National Education Program,” stated Gary Bernard, Executive Director of the Canadian PGA. “TrackMan technology has conceptually changed the way Canadian PGA Professionals and their clients play, practice, and get fitted for equipment. By integrating their database of information into our curriculum we significantly enhance our program.”
The Canadian PGA National Education Program receives full recognition from Sport Canada and, along with 65 other sports, is part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
The certification program has been developed for all levels of participation within the sport of golf, ranging from beginners to elite tour players. All Canadian PGA workshop participants will now have access to the tremendous body of world-class research available through the Coaching Association of Canada as well as the prestige that goes along with being certified by one of the most highly respected associations in instruction and coach education in the world.
“We’re thrilled to join the Canadian PGA as a partner in their National Education Program,” said Matt Frelich, Director of Sales and Business Development for TrackMan. “The Canadian PGA has been recognized as one of the world leaders in PGA Education and we know TrackMan will help take their programs to the next level.”
TrackMan accurately tracks the club delivery, launch conditions, and entire ball flight. TrackMan has reliably tracked thousands of shots from the world’s best players. This has led to some of the biggest technological and theoretical breakthroughs in golf, including the New Ball Flight Laws and the importance of Attack Angle in fitting and teaching.
