Palo Verde High School grad earns $500 for college
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Angel Park Golf Club recently awarded Evan Salcido with a $500 Angel Park/OB Sports Cardholder Scholarship. The scholarship is one of many value-added benefits of the OB Sports Golf Card – Las Vegas, an annual frequent-player program that offers preferred green fees at Angel Park (and other local clubs) along with a bunch of other perks. The scholarship is available to the cardholder’s college-bound dependents. They simply submit an application, letters of recommendation and any other pertinent information, and Angel Park’s scholarship committee awards the scholarship to one student based on the merits of his/her high school achievements. Scottsdale, Arizona-based OB Sports Golf Management established the scholarship program in 2008 at a number of golf clubs under its management, Angel Park Golf Club being one of them.
“I truly appreciate the scholarship from Angel Park,” said Salcido. “My dad and I tee it up there a lot. Guess we have another reason to love it. I’ll be headed off to Ohio State University in a few short weeks. The extra $500 will certainly help.”
“Congratulations Evan!” stated Stead. “He certainly deserves it. In fact, his application was loaded with impressive high school achievements. It’s our pleasure to give his college education a humble boost.”
