GustBuster, a New York-based umbrella manufacturer, will provide special USA umbrellas for the U.S. team that will compete in the 16th annual World Golfers Championship, scheduled Oct. 30-Nov. 6 in Thailand.
The competition featuring golfers from more than 40 countries is scheduled in Cha-Am in the Hua-Hin resort area, a former fishing village and retreat for the royal Thai family located two hours south of Bangkok that today is a true golfers paradise.
Black Mountain Golf Club, named the best course in Thailand, along with the Banyan Golf Club, the Palm Hills Golf Club and the Springfield Royal Country Club will host the golfers while the The Holiday Inn Resort will serve as the tournament headquarters.
The five players to represent the U.S. will be the winner from each of five handicap flights (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-25) in a 36-hole qualifying Sept. 10-11 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield, AZ.
“The GustBuster umbrellas are recognized as the best ones for golf and we are delighted that Steven Asman will help us show off the USA colors in Thailand,” said Anders Bengtson, President of World Golfers USA. “Other companies wanting to assist us by donating items for the U.S. team should contact me.”
