TEMPE, AZ July 29, 2010- Dixon Golf will sponsor a charity golf tournament to benefit Mesa’s FC Barcelona youth soccer club. The funds raised in the tournament will go to offset the cost of tournaments, travel and uniforms for the upcoming season. The team travels the Mountain West for tournaments.
The club, who takes their name from the professional soccer team in Spain, is a club soccer team for kids. This tournament in particular will benefit the U14 and U12 girls, and U10 boys.
The tournament will be held on August 14, 2010 at Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert, AZ and is set to start at 7 a.m. The format will be a four person best ball scramble, with mulligans available for purchase.
The cost of the tournament is $75.00 per person, which includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, lunch, and a gift bag. A lucky golfer can win a $50,000.00 hole in one prize! There will also be prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt, amongst other games. Raffle tickets will also be sold for $5 each or three for $10 for some great raffle items donated by many generous local vendors.
