Both Tseng and Langer use Speedline drivers, along with Idea hybrids and irons, to claim trophies
PLANO, TEXAS, August 3, 2010 – In an impressive showing at two major tournaments this past weekend, Adams Golf staff members Yani Tseng and Bernhard Langer captured double victories, both playing aerodynamically-designed Speedline drivers in addition to their industry-leading Idea hybrids and irons. Tseng won her second major of the year at the RICOH Women’s British Open and Langer went back-to-back by winning the U.S. Senior Open Championship.
Tseng’s win at the 2010 RICOH Women’s British Open was her third major tournament win on the LPGA Tour since joining in 2008, making her the youngest-ever player to capture three major titles. Tseng won her first major at the 2008 McDonald’s LPGA Championship and followed that up with a win at the 2010 Kraft Nabisco Championship. She also won the 2010 HANDA Australian Women’s Open on the Ladies European Tour earlier in March.
Langer’s win at the U.S. Senior Open was his second major win in as many weeks after taking home the trophy at the Senior British Open just a few days earlier. This victory was also his fourth of the season on the Champions Tour, following other victories at the Allianz Championship and the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. It was also his 12th career victory since joining the Champions Tour a mere three years ago.
En route to victory, Tseng played the Adams Golf Speedline 9032LS driver (9.5 degree), a Speedline fairway wood (3), two Idea a7 hybrids (19 and 22 degrees) and Idea a4 irons (4-PW). Langer carried the Speedline driver (9.5 degree), an Insight fairway wood (3), an Idea Pro hybrid (18 degree) and Idea Pro Black irons (6-PW).
“All of us at Adams Golf are extremely proud of Yani’s and Bernhard’s accomplishments and how well they represented our company this past weekend,” said Chip Brewer, President and CEO of Adams Golf. “Not only were their victories the ultimate in product validation, but to have them bring Adams Golf its third and fourth major championships in one year is extremely exciting for our entire organization. The season is not over yet so I am eager to see what else they have up their sleeves as they tackle the rest of the 2010 schedule. They are both such incredible talents, the sky is really the limit.”
