Second player this season to shoot 59 using Aldila’s Technology
POWAY, Calif. – For the second time in less than a month Aldila’s cutting-edge technology has helped drive a PGA Tour player into the history books. Using Aldila’s RIP Technology™ in his Driver and 3 Wood, and their Micro Laminate Technology® featured in their NV® in his Hybrid club, the winner of the inaugural Greenbrier Classic became the fifth person in Tour history to record a 59. He made nine birdies and an eagle in the final round en route to a one-stroke victory.
Less than a month ago at the John Deere Classic, the 4th player in Tour history carded a record-low 59 using Aldila’s NV shafts in his Driver, 3 Wood and Hybrid. He was also the tournament’s Most Accurate Driver finishing with a 91.07 driving accuracy percentage, almost 20 percentage points ahead of the field’s average.
“Aldila’s RIP Technology™ provides lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.
The winner of the Cox Classic on the Nationwide Tour captured his second victory of the season using Aldila’s VS Proto and NV Hybrid shafts. The win moved him from 10th to third on the Nationwide Tour Money List.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” maintained their status as the #1 shaft on Tour by winning the driver, wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Greenbrier Classic, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had 25 more of their wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Cox Classic.
Aldila is the leading name in graphite golf shafts: It won golf’s Grand Slam in 2009, being the most used wood and hybrid shafts at every Major on the PGA Tour. For two years it has been the most played wood and hybrid shaft at every FedEx Cup Playoff event. Are you playing Aldila or just graphite?
