Dixon Golf Will Sponsor Mountain View Junior High School’s Charity Golf Tournamnet

August 6, 2010

TEMPE, AZ August 3, 2010 – Dixon Golf will sponsor the Mountain View School Golf Fundraiser Tournament on September 11, 2010. The tournament, which will be held at Saddlebrook Ranch Golf Club in Oracle, AZ, will benefit the Mountain Vista Junior High School, which is in the Oracle School District. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the construction of stands and restrooms at the school’s athletic fields.

Currently the Mountain View Junior High has Softball, baseball and football teams that are all popular with students. Unfortunately, there is no place to use restrooms, sell food, and no announcer’s booth. There are lots of kids involved in the activities and this tournament will help provide the students with much needed facilities.

The tournament starts at 8 a.m. and will finish with a prize raffle and auction. The format is a four person shotgun and the cost is $240 per team or $65 per person, with lunch, cart and range balls provided.

Currently, eight teams have entered, ten short of the goal of 18. MVJHS needs $16,000 to fully fund the building of the structures, with $7,000 already raised in the last eight months. Their goal is to break ground by June, 2011.
