(Vancouver, BC) – Linda Hipp, President and Principal Designer, LIJA is proud to be attending the PGA Fall Expo this year. In addition to four new LIJA Collections and the re-launch of LIJA Essentials, Linda Hipp is proud to announce the launch of a new line – LABEL 3. Now the first brand to revolutionize the way that women dress in golf is back in the driver’s seat once again with LABEL 3.
Leading Golf Fashion Brand, LIJA, and Principal Designer Linda Hipp Launch NEW Golf line – LABEL 3.
LABEL 3 is a directionally forward line with unique, future-focused silhouettes designed to pioneer a bold and brave new movement for what’s possible in golf fashion while still maintaining the integrity of the tradition of the sport.
“I am so excited to be here at St. Andrew’s, at the very place where golf originated to announce a project that has been very close to my heart for some time – LABEL 3. LABEL 3 will be a very big step forward for fashion in this sport as it will strive to challenge convention by playing with silhouettes to re-shape fashion on the fairways.
I genuinely hope women will enjoy this new line and join us as we embark on this journey to revolutionize fashion on the fairways once again.” – Linda Hipp.
The name LABEL 3 is intended to convey a very forward outlook in higher end fashion while at the same time incorporating Linda’s own lucky number 3. Fashion in women’s golf has come so far since LIJA first pioneered the movement to bring more styling and trends into this sport for women. There are many more brands to choose from and women are becoming savvier and more interested in seeking out a unique look on the course. It’s time to push the boundaries once again. It’s time for a new look.
The LABEL 3 line features unique silhouettes such as: dropped armholes, rectangular jackets, slouch pants, skinny tech pants, and cropped skirts and tops – all of which are hot trends on runways around the world this year. The line also introduces Tyvek to golf. Tyvek is a brand of flashspun high-density polyethylene fibers, a synthetic material typically used in medical supplies and home construction. Water vapor can pass through Tyvek but not liquid water making it highly breathable but water-resistant. This fabric’s unique properties make if very practical yet fashionable outwear garment. LIJA offers a jacket and a bag in Tyvek with this inaugural collection.
Retailing from $75 to $140, LABEL 3 will be available as of February 15, 2011 in fine retailers and at LIJAstyle.com. LABEL 3 will be the third line offering from LIJA with the initial LIJA portfolio having launched LIJA in 1997 and LIJA Essentials in 2005.
Hipp Sets Out to Awaken Golf Fashion Once Again in Spring 2011 with Four New LIJA Collections.
This Spring, LIJA intends to re-think, re-fresh and re-energize everything about its brand. It’s time for a new generation of LIJA which returns the brand to its roots of stepping out ahead of trends and leading the way in this category once again. This will be evidenced across all aspects of the brand including design of brand properties such as logos and sell lines to the very design philosophy and product styling itself. This year there is a real movement towards an ‘awakening’ in the world. People are re-thinking their goals, striving to exceed them and building momentum towards stronger well-being both mentally and physically. LIJA is supporting this movement and encouraging it’s momentum by doing the same with the brand. Since its inception in 1997, LIJA has strived to offer women style-driven golf apparel that mimics the ever-changing moods and trends in fashion. In this year of awakening, LIJA intends to step forward to fundamentally change the way the women dress in golf once again.
For Spring 2011, LIJA will be introducing four new fashion collections for Spring 2011 under the theme of Awakening. These four collections titled: Momentum, Pursuit, Elevate and Focus, exude LIJA’s signature design aesthetics with a fresh perspective on runway fashion for the fairways this Spring.
The pieces will retail from $55 to $140 USD as featured in LIJA’s semi-annual Golf Lookbook which features lifestyle images to demonstrate how these styles look on the body, some clever tips on how to create 10 or more outfits out of 6 LIJA pieces and some recommended buys for retailers.
LIJA is a staple in finer golf and non-golf retailers across North America, including world-renowned resorts and clubs like Riviera, Doral, Kapalua, Whistling Straits and St. Andrew’s, Scotland. The company’s clothing is worn by aspiration women and golf professionals worldwide, including LPGA Tour stars Sarah Jane Smith and Leta Lindley, and NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice Winner, Stefanie Schaeffer.
