The Apparel Wire, a golf apparel industry e-publication, will sponsor “Project Fairway,” a panel discussion featuring a number of leading golf fashion industry experts on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Apparel Wire style editor Janice Ferguson will moderate the event that focuses on the forces driving golf fashion forward, and the trends and influences for Spring 2011 collections. “Project Fairway” is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on the PGA Fall Expo’s main stage at the Venetian Hotel.
Panelists include Dana Coppolino, senior designer/women’s, and Bjorn Bengtsson, director of design and merchandising for Greg Norman Collection; Susan Shade, president of Tehama and IZOD G; Mark Fletcher, president of Sunice; James Thompson, marketing director of Pukka Headwear; and Linda Hipp, president and principal designer of Lija. Also, Marty Hackel, fashion director for Golf Digest Publications is scheduled to make a guest appearance.
“We have watched the golf apparel side of our business become much more prominent over the past several years,” said Alex Miceli, CEO/publisher of Golf Press Association. “The Apparel Wire was created in 2006 after seeing apparel starting to become a larger segment of the golf industry. We are pleased to host ‘Project Fairway’ at the PGA Fall Expo and highlight golf style trends during fashion week.”
Attendees will be able to ask questions of the panelists and register for a chance to win one of three gift bags with product from the participating companies.
