Highly acclaimed amenity of Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel listed among top 100 courses in America; stay-and-play packages start at $99 (available through Oct. 3)
(WORLEY, ID) – Circling Raven Golf Club continues to rack up accolades from national golf publications, the latest honor coming last week when it was once again named to GOLF magazine’s prestigious, biennial list of the “Top 100 “Courses You Can Play” in America.
An amenity of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel in the Idaho panhandle, Circling Raven was ranked No. 92 on the list – out of roughly 13,500 U.S. public access courses – and No. 2 in the magazine’s state-by-state rankings. These GOLF magazine best-of lists are available online and will be featured in the September 2010 print edition of the magazine.
Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and designed by course architect Gene Bates, Circling Raven has now collected more than 40 such rankings since its first full season in 2004, including:
No. 1 in Idaho in Golfweek’s ‘Best Courses You Can Play’ state-by-state rankings, 2009

“Circling Raven and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel are honored to once again be part of GOLF magazine’s esteemed list of great courses in America,” says CDA Casino Resort CEO David Lasarte Meeks. “This further proves that there is no better place in the Pacific Northwest to visit for golf and gaming enthusiasts. What’s more, the entire experience at our resort will only be further enriched with the completion of our expansion project this spring.”
Last Chance to Take Advantage of $99 per night Stay-and-Play Packages
Not only is Circling Raven regularly recognized as one of the top courses in America, but it is also well-known for giving golfers the best bang for their hard-earned buck.
For proof, look no further than the special Stay-and-Play Package currently being offered that allows golfers to play this Top-100 Course in America and receive one night accommodation at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel for just $99 per person (Sunday through Thursday, based on double occupancy) or $125 per person on Friday and Saturday nights. All rates include 18 holes of golf, cart, GPS, and use of 25-acre practice facility. Replays (same day) are $45.
Green fees alone at most Top-100 courses – and many non-Top-100 tracks – cost substantially more than $100, let alone include lodging and the many post-golf gaming options available at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel. This is partly why Circling Raven, is considered one of the world’s great golf values.

About Circling Raven Golf Club and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort & Hotel
Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and convenient to Spokane (WA) airport, the casino resort and golf club are nestled on a reservation covering 345,000 acres of mountains, lakes, old-growth forest and farmland. The resort spans the western edge of the northern Rocky Mountains. Tribal history also tells us that Circling Raven was a spiritually powerful leader, his name coming from his close relationship to the raven, who helped guide him on his journeys, warn him of danger and show him where to find fish and game.
Circling Raven was created amid a unique blend of wetlands, grasslands and woodlands. At 7,189 yards, the par 72 championship layout meanders through 620 acres, only 100 representing cultivated ground. Wildlife is abundant, including elk, deer, moose and an occasional black bear. In fact, the opening was delayed due to damage on two greens by migrating elk.
