Avid golfers putting improves with RoboCup ball return robot
(Fort Lauderdale) – The short game is significant/critical to winning in golf. That is why PGA Champions such as the TOP 5 at Whistling Straits this past week requested RoboCup for their putting practice. Fine Tune Golf announced today that three of the top five finishers at the PGA Championships have requested RoboCup for their putting practice.
More than 200 total PGA Professionals have requested the RoboCup for their practice, including Dom DiJulia, GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teacher, Golf Digest Top 20 Under 40 Teacher and 2007-2008 Master Professional. “If you are serious about your game, you need to be a great putter and great putters are made, not born,” DiJulia says. “The Robocup helps you get the most out of your putting practice both at home and at the course,” he adds.
“People gravitate towards the RoboCup on the green, as it is entertaining and practical, says Jonathan Yarwood, Golf Digest Top 20 Under 40 Teacher. “Not only is it well designed and robust, it is very practical and above all- great fun,” he adds. “There are numerous games you can play with the RoboCup that encourage concentration…with the satisfying outcome of the ball magically flipping back to you,” Yarwood says. “I cannot recommend the RoboCup highly enough.”
“When you called me regarding the Robocup, I viewed this as nothing more than a simple golf “gadget…I was wrong,” says Tom Stickney, Director of Golf Instruction at the Club at Cordillera and BIGHORN Golf Club, as well as a Golf Magazine Top 100 and Golf Digest 20 Under 40 Teacher . “Your practice device not only helped me focus on making more putts, but it eliminated the time and effort for me to retrieve the foul-balls I usually hit while practicing on the green,” Stickney adds. “I would suggest the Robocup for anyone whom is serious about improving their stroke and looking to become a better player in general.”
RoboCup, voted Best New Product of the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show, is an innovative ball-return robot that saves time, golfers’ backs and brings the fun back into putting. Designed exclusively for serious golfers, RoboCup is the only ball return creation designed to work on every green with a practice or full-depth cup. It is an overall putting practice solution, offering annual indoor and outdoor usage with batteries lasting for more than 12,000 putt returns. When a putt drops into the hole, its innovative design automatically shoots the ball right back. The invention runs on 4 AA batteries and will return the ball up to 14 feet or more, depending on green speed. RoboCup is accompanied by the Caddy Cord, so that even missed putts are fired back. MSRP: $59.95 (with Caddy Cord)
RoboCup continues to receive great attention from green grass, off-course retailers, teaching pros, and distributors (domestic/international). For more information surrounding RoboCup, or other Fine Tune Golf creations, including the G-Clip and Line-M-Up, visit: www.finetunegolf.com.
