Missoula, Montana – For the third consecutive year, the Sun Mountain SLX golf stand bag has been awarded a Gold medal in Golf Digest magazine’s annual Hot List. The panel of judges specifically commented on the SLX’s light weight, easy to use shoulder straps, effective stand mechanism and innovative legs. The Golf Digest Hot List judges include five editors from the magazine. The panel said that the judging criteria for the carry bags included the bags being light but sturdy, innovative without being a Rubik’s Cube, and functional without being showy.
Specifically about the Sun Mountain SLX, the judges said, “sturdy without being bulky”, “a ‘slide’ that joins the crossing shoulder straps makes it easier to adjust the level of the bag and less cumbersome to put on and take off.” Commenting on Sun Mountain’s patented stand mechanism, the panel said, “the Y-shaped spring helps the bag’s legs deploy and retract quickly.” Regarding the bag’s legs the panel said, “large triangular foot pads keep the legs from sinking into wet turf or slipping in slick surfaces.”
