Sanford, FL – Pro Line Sports, Inc., makers of the IGOTCHA® Ready First Tee Warm Up System, made national news this past weekend as a well known LPGA Tour Player used their product to warm-up while she was waiting to tee off the 10th hole on Sunday at The Safeway Classic held at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Oregon. The Tour Player was quoted as saying, “I had a 30 minute wait and I needed to loosen up.” She grabbed her IGOTCHA Ready Warm-Up weight like she had done so many times before prior to her round, to loosen up and stretch her muscles. What the Tour Player forgot was that the use of a swing or training aid during competition is a violation of Rule 14-3/10 of The Rules of Golf, resulting in a disqualification.
“Unfortunately, this rule has been misinterpreted before,” said Jim Light, President of Pro Line Sports Inc. and manufacturer of the IGOTCHA Ready Warm Up System. “The IGOTCHA Ready is designed to help stretch and warm up your muscles prior to your round…that’s precisely why we call it a First Tee Warm Up System. Once you begin…you’re not allowed to use any swing or training devices at all. It’s a shame to see one of our Tour Players disqualified like this, but the rule is very clear. Right now we have over 200 Tour Players who use it and depend on it each week…so you know it’s a great product…just make sure you leave it in the bag once you begin your round.”
The IGOTCHA Ready is the ultimate one-minute, First Tee Warm-Up System featuring three uses with one golf swing weight. In one quick & easy movement, all you do is “twist & lock” to start your golf warm-up routine. The IGOTCHA Ready is designed to warm-up and work the golf muscles. Golf teachers are amazed at what it does for golf’s biggest swing flaws.
The IGOTCHA Ready is a three-step process: First, twist and lock the IGOTCHA Ready in the center of the shaft. A few swings establishes great tempo, which is the first key to a great swing. Second, attach it under the grip to practice your power release. Finally, attach it at the hosel, and the weight stretches all of the major golf muscles adding flexibility. It is a great new tool every golfer should use before every round to stretch properly and prevent injury.
