THE KURE will be featured on the putting greens and at Solid Golf’s booth during the Golf Expo at the World’s Largest 19th Hole located at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Aug. 30 to Sept. 3. After each day of the World Am competition, golfers and their guests congregate at the Convention Center where the Expo comes to life with equipment demos, custom club fitting, diagnostic machines and demonstrations by PGA professionals.
“We are determined to help fight prostate cancer, a disease that affects so many in the golf community,” said Bill Henwood, President of Solid Golf. “My brothers and I are prostate cancer survivors, so this cause has a very special meaning to us. At Solid Golf, we want to be involved with raising money and awareness to help end this disease and we feel that all men over the age of 40 should know their PSA score.”
Know Your Score is a multifaceted effort with a goal of raising $250,000 to battle prostate cancer while increasing education and testing throughout the nation. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America, prostate cancer afflicts 1 in 6 men, the majority of that total are over the age of 40. Research has shown that the disease is 99 percent curable if detected early enough. Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday teamed up with Zero: The Project to End Prostate Cancer to launch the Know Your Score: Fight Prostate Cancer campaign.
