About the Bobby Chapman Invitational
The tournament is held in honor of the late Robert H. Chapman, Jr. Chapman, a long time member of the Country Club of Spartanburg and the only man to serve as president of both the South Carolina Golf Association and Carolinas Golf Association. An accomplished player, he served the USGA in several capacities. In his business life, Chapman was a local and national leader in the textile industry. Additional beneficiaries are the Spartanburg Foundation and South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. To date, more than $110,000 has gone to scholarship recipients through both organizations thanks to the many kind supporters of the Bobby Chapman.
