MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Dynamic Gold by True Temper Sports topped the leaderboards at the BMW Championship on the PGA Tour and the Utah Championship on the Nationwide Tour this past weekend.
Playing Dynamic Gold, the winner of this weekend’s BMW Championship moved into the Top Five for FedEx Standings and has earned a shot at the playoffs’ $10 million bonus. In addition to the victory, True Temper fielded 57 sets in play, more than all of the other competitors combined.
At the Nationwide’s Utah Championship, this weekend’s winner shot two 66s and two 67s with Dynamic Gold shafts to capture the victory. Shafts by True Temper were in 100% of the top 10 finishers’ bags, including the new DG Spinner wedge shaft and Project X graphite which each shared a top ten finish.
“This weekend, Dynamic Gold once again lived up to its legacy as the most winning shaft in the history of golf,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “This has certainly been an exciting season for us with 37 wins on the PGA Tour and the growing popularity of our newer shafts, Project X graphite and DG Spinner, among professional players. As we race towards the FedEx Cup Playoff, we look forward to continuing to lead the field’s iron shaft count and seeing Dynamic Gold in the winner’s circle again.”
Featuring a high-flex, tour weight design, Dynamic Gold shafts are the top-selling shaft in golf and are preferred by skilled players seeking a low, penetrating ball flight. The new DG Spinner increases ball spin during those all important wedge and approach shots for greater stopping power on the green. Project X graphite reduces spin by up to 500 RPM compared to other low-spin Tour model shafts by combining a stable butt section with a constant taper bend profile and by reinforcing the tip with two additional wraps of super high-modulus graphite.
