(GULF SHORES, ALA.) – The Gulf Shores Golf Association (GSGA) has extended its partnership with Buffalo Communications (Buffalo) to provide targeted publicity and media-relations outreach for its group of nine highly-rated golf courses and tourism partners on the Alabama coastline.
Buffalo’s representation of the “stay-and-play” cooperative – known as Golf Gulf Shores (www.golfgulfshores.com) – signals that traveling golfers to the region recognize it has moved beyond the summer’s oil spill headlines and is a vibrant destination ideal for stellar fall and winter golf at incredible values.
An integral part of launching an aggressive, pro-travel campaign, Buffalo will highlight the spirit and flavor of the golf and the region at large, including a generous helping of Southern hospitality.
“It’s time to get the word out that our courses remain untouched by this summer’s catastrophe, and Gulf views from the fairways are pristine and unspoiled,” says Duncan Millar, Executive Director of the GSGA. “Temperatures in the upper 70s in the fall are perfect for golf, and each of our partners has added even more value into their stay-and-play packages through 2010.”
With courses bearing the names of leading architects Arnold Palmer, Jerry Pate and others, golfers enjoy a wide array of playing experiences from resort golf to seaside/links-style and layouts lined by towering pines.
GSGA courses team with upscale hotels, resorts and luxury condominiums to provide custom-built golf getaways strategically positioned for “buddy trips.” The destination features more than 22,000 rooms and courses located no more than 45 minutes from the city center.
“Buffalo Communications has a longstanding relationship with Gulf Shores and we look forward to furthering its positive stories,” says Rich Katz, Managing Director of Buffalo. “The high quality of the destination, the caliber of the courses, and the region’s engaging beach lifestyle, have drawn golfers for decades.”
