COLUMBUS, Ga., September 15, 2010 — Roy Nix, Executive Director of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP), the world leader in the advancement of custom clubfitting and clubmaking, proudly announces that Markit-Golf LLC will be appearing at the 5th Annual AGCP Roundtable Education Conference and Convention to be held in Columbus GA September 29 through October 2, 2010.
Joe Hrubos, CEO of Markit-Golf told us today: “We were so pleased with last year’s event we have decided to make the R/T one of our regular annual events. During my travels this past year, I had many opportunities to meet with members who have become users and resellers of Markit and a chance to see their shops. I must say that I feel the AGCP has captured the essence of professionalism in the club fitting arena.”
Hrubos added: “Last year we had quite a bit of pomp and circumstance with our large hitting cage and astro-turf. This year I thought I would focus more on the B2B aspect of using Markit as a vehicle to help grow sales. Many members have already embraced the concept and it may serve well to propagate that philosophy throughout the rest of the membership. In today’s economy we are all trying to drive traffic to both our physical doors as well as our internet door and I believe we have a useful tool by which you can achieve this and achieve growth.”
“I will be hosting business discussions in my booth every hour on the hour. If your goal is to grow your business, make sure to stop by for a few minutes to learn what other members have discovered about the benefits of Markit. You may in the interim check out our web site www.markit-golf.com to become familiar with the product before you arrive at the convention” Hrubos concluded.
The 5th Annual Education Conference and clubfitters and clubmakers convention will be held in the Historic Columbus Iron Works Trade and Convention Center in Columbus, Georgia with a Demo Day at Woodland Hills, Golf Course on Wednesday September 29, before the convention on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. With virtually all of the sponsors from 2009 committed to return and the expectation of at least 10 additional sponsors who have contacted us and committed to be at the Roundtable, and with more than as many advanced registrations as last year the AGCP expects a much bigger turn out than any previous year.
The Featured speaker this year will be Tom Wishon, whose company Tom Wishon Golf Technology is recognized as the highest quality designer of high performance original clubheads, shafts, grips and fitting technology products used by independent professional custom clubmakers around the world, and guest speaker AGCP members Eric Hogge, the head professional of the PGA Center for Learning and Education in Port St. Lucie FL and Jimmy Sharpe, All America football player at the University of Alabama and former Head Football Coach at Virginia Tech as our dinner speaker this year, The AGCP expects a much larger turn out for this year’s event.
