ORLANDO, Fla., (Sept. 21, 2010) – Golfweek magazine – the publication preferred by serious golfers – today announced the latest addition to its impressive roster of events: Golfweek’s Junior Tour. Created in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tour (RMGJT), this unique event series offers a competitive structure for developing golfers and does so in a manner that will garner national exposure and recognition for players unrivaled by any other junior golf tour.
Open to golfers ages 10-19, Golfweek’s Junior Tour will conduct 50 events at premier golf clubs across the states of California, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas – giving players ample opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience.
“We are thrilled to be working with RMGJT on this project because they share our commitment to growing the game through the support of golf’s next generation of players,” said Armand Cimaroli, Golfweek’s director of events. “The goal of Golfweek’s Junior Tour is to help these talented golfers develop their competitive edge, build character and learn sportsmanship, all while preparing their games for the collegiate level.”
