Norcross, GA (September 28, 2010) – Mizuno will be represented by two of golf’s brightest stars, Luke Donald and Jeff Overton, in this year’s Ryder Cup, beginning later this week in Wales. Overton was one of the eight automatic qualifiers for the U.S. Team, and Luke Donald was one of four “Captain’s Picks” for the European Team chosen by team captain Colin Montgomery. While Overton will be making his Ryder Cup debut, Luke Donald can be considered a veteran. This will be his third Ryder Cup appearance, as he represented the European squad at Oakland Hills in 2004 and The K Club in 2006, with an impressive overall record of five wins, one loss and one halved point.
“We’re extremely proud of both Luke and Jeff, and are looking forward to watching them give it their all for their respective teams in Wales,” said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA Golf Division “The Ryder Cup is a very special event and experience, and we couldn’t ask for two better individuals to represent the Mizuno brand on one of the biggest stages in golf.”
