COLUMBUS, Ga., October 6, 2010 — Roy Nix, Executive Director of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP), the world leader in the advancement of custom clubfitting and clubmaking, announced today that the 5th Annual AGCP Roundtable Convention, RT5 was a Huge Success. AGCP members from around the world have sent Thank You notes to AGCP for RT5 Education Conference and Convention. AGCP members who attended RT5 began to write of their experiences in Columbus GA and their appreciation for the quality of the classes, the participants, the sponsors and hospitality of everyone associated with RT5 as soon as they returned to their homes. A sampling of the emails below tells the story.

I want to congratulate Roy and his staff on another great Roundtable. After attending RT2 and RT3 and missing RT4 I have to say this year’s RT blew me away. And it was great to see all of my friends from RT3.
Plus make a few new friends. As usual I learned so much from all of the presenters, sponsors and all who attended. The real value of the AGCP is that all members are willing to help each other to improve and become the best they can.
Being able to spend time with Tom Wishon, J Lynn Griffin, Eric Hogge and all the AGCP masters is so invaluable when you are trying to become the best clubfitter you can be.
When I left every person I talked to offered to help me in any way they could. That is the true power of the AGCP. As I grow my business and learn more I hope I can eventually give back to new members as much as I have received from all the great AGCP members that have helped me.
Again, Great Job all

Excellent talks and a great layout for sponsors. I especially want to thank Russ for bringing his hitting cage setup, lighting, and some of the equipment he uses — renting a van and driving 800 miles with it is a labor of love and AGCP support. It required more than 4 hrs for him to assemble the hitting cage and when the FlightScope folks and the Swingview Pro folks set up their equipment, the cage was a state-of-the-art way to check out how the equipment works. Also, the technical help from these sponsors was absolutely first rate, and many of us were grateful to have a chance to review topics in depth with them. I also found the Mark-it and Sam Putt Lab setups and reps to be first rate and especially helpful.

Roy,
RT5 was awesome! From the demo day, to the setup in the convention center, to all the great presentations, including the two on the golf swing, to the number of and set up of the sponsors, to the great lunches (infinitely better than the box lunches), to Tom Wishon’s 2 hour key-note speech covering a summary of his life in golf and the highlights of what he has learned in the past 4 decades.
Wow! It was truly great.
Thanks to you and your team that worked so hard to make it happen.

Bill – If I may, I want to add that on top of the quality of info provided and all else; the fellowship was great as well. I hope all felt this, and PLEASE, all those who weren’t able to attend, come next year. The date hasn’t been set, but I am sure Roy and this unbelievable family and crew he has will set a date that will work far better next year.
And Roy swears that RT6 will outdo RT5. How that is going to happen I don’t know, but I know, God willing I will be there.
Thanks again Roy and my other AGCP attendees.

Let me say AMEN! To the positive comments about RT5. I have been fortunate enough to attend all of the RT’s except Branson and RT5 was absolutely the BEST one yet (and all of the others were good), and from all I have been privy to and all I have heard about RT6 – WOW! Is it ever going to blow our socks off? I am anxiously awaiting it already. Debi said she had a delightful time with the other wives and the activities she participated it. She really enjoyed the laid back sun and read time at the pool.
Roy, the speakers were excellent. I get to be around Eric Hogge nearly every day and get to hear him teach all levels of players, but I not had the opportunity to hear him speak publicly before the RT – he did a GREAT job. Tom Wishon, as always, did a super job and it was interesting to hear him recap what he considered the highlights of a 4 decade (so far) career.
And Jimmy Sharpe, what an inspirational guy. He was FANTASTIC (I do agree that the sound system at the Naval Museum could have been better- BUT). Every presenter did an outstanding job! Even Bill Marshall kept on task – LOLOLOLOLOL! Just teasing you, Bill. Again, I took away more in knowledge and understanding worth far more than the expense involved in attending. The Marriott was great and the location could not have been better.
So, Roy, Linda, Daniel, Mick, David – and everyone else involved in making “it” happen -THANKS!!!! Can’t wait to see how you top it for next year. If the Lord doesn’t call me home or come back Himself before then – I’ll see you at RT6 in beautiful downtown Columbus, Georgia.

I am home a couple of hours. I want to thank all the members who attended the RT5, the excellent speakers and above all Roy and his family for a great RT5 and the companionship. It was, as all RT’s before a great pleasure to be among you all.

Thanks to Roy, Linda, Daniel and Mick for a great Round Table. I can only imagine how much time and energy it costs to run something like this. Also thanks to all the speakers. I learn something every time.
Lastly, thanks for the fun. I had a great time.

This was my first experience of an AGCP roundtable. And indeed it was GREAT!
Not only from the professional point of view, but also from the human one. And I really want to very warmly thank all those who organized and attended it for such an open, helpful and friendly atmosphere they created.
I always loved visiting the United States, but now I really feel at home in the professional club makers realm.

I would also like to thank Roy, Linda, Daniel and Mick for being there every second to make sure we all got the most for our time at RT5. The information was at times overwhelming and plentiful and will take me a couple of weeks to process. I also don’t want to overlook the sponsors and all the speakers for their time and expertise with they’re products and topics. Can’t wait for RT6 to learn some more from the best, The AGCP.
Thanks to all,

Just quick thanks to all of my fellow members for the great info and experience I gathered at rt-5. Well worth my time and expense to get to know everyone better and find out a little more about each one’s business. Special thanks to Roy, Linda, Mick and Daniel who put in so much time and effort to get it all to happen.

We do not have enough space to publish all of the wonderful testimonials we received from the attendees. We want to thank all who attended and all who volunteered their time and they treasure to make this possible. The staff did a wonderful job, but without the AGCP members who volunteer their time, knowledge and expertise and donate their time and effort the AGCP would not be what it is today.
From everyone at the AGCP,
Thank you!
