In addition to the golf course, KemperSports is chosen to manage historic Highland Park Theater
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 13, 2010 – The City Council of Highland Park, Ill. has chosen to extend KemperSports’ current agreement to manage Highland Park Country Club. The Northbrook, Ill.-based company continues its strong showing in 2010 with four course openings, hosting the U.S. Amateur at Chambers Bay and consistent renewals throughout its managed property portfolio.
Designed by Dick Nugent, Highland Park Country Club has been managed by KemperSports since 2005. The former private club measures 6,506 yards from the back tees and plays to a par-71 with picturesque terrain including nine ponds and mature tree-lined fairways adorned with towering oaks, maples and willows.
“We have enjoyed our long relationship with Highland Park and are pleased that it will be expanding,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “The course continues to improve year after year and is a favorite of local golfers.”
Located along Chicago’s North Shore, the golf property also boasts a spacious banquet facility with a seating capacity of more than 350 guests.
In addition to the golf course, KemperSports was recently selected to manage the city-owned Highland Park Theater. Located just down the street from the golf course in downtown Highland Park, the historic theater offers four screens while playing the most current box office hits.
